How to add music to a Google Slides video

Music can make your slideshow feel complete. The key is matching slide pace to the song instead of forcing the song after export.

Choose your song before final timing

Pick music first, then adjust slide duration to match the mood. Fast tracks need shorter slides, while emotional tracks need slower transitions.

Keep text slides longer than photo slides

If viewers need to read names, dates, or captions, give those slides more time. Photo-only slides can move faster without losing clarity.

Use one emotional arc

Avoid mixing very different music styles in one short video. A single tone creates a cleaner, more professional result.

Export as MP4 for music playback

If audio matters, use MP4 as your final format. GIF does not carry audio and is better for silent loops.

Slides To Video lets you keep your layout work in Google Slides and export with music-ready pacing.
